How we make money

We want you to know exactly how this site pays for itself.

We earn a referral fee

The parts we write about are made and sold by other companies. When you click through to Amazon or another store and buy something, that store pays us a small fee. You pay the same price either way. It costs you nothing extra.

eBay Partner Network

Anvil Road LLC takes part in the eBay Partner Network. When you click an eBay link on this site and buy something, eBay may pay us a commission. eBay is where we send you first for the part itself, because it is where exact part numbers, discontinued parts and old stock actually turn up.

Amazon Associates

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Anvil Road LLC also takes part in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. That is an ad program that lets sites earn fees by linking to Amazon. We use Amazon as a second place to check the exact part, and for the gloves, seal conditioner and tools a job actually needs.

What the money does not buy

Which parts are compatible with your camper is decided by the manufacturer’s own parts list, and nothing else. No commission rate changes a compatibility answer, and no store can pay to be called the right part. Where our documents and a seller’s listing disagree, we publish the document and say the listing is wrong.

You will also see the disclosure next to the buttons themselves, not only on this page. That is deliberate: the place to tell you a link earns us money is where you decide whether to click it.

We are not the seller

Every part on this site is sold by somebody else. We are not the merchant of record, we do not take your payment, and we do not handle shipping or returns — those are between you and the retailer you buy from.

That matters for how you should read the site. We hold no inventory, so no part is ever put forward because it needs shifting. What decides which replacement part we name is the manufacturer’s own documentation, and nothing else.

If that ever changes

If a seller we are tied to ever lists a part we cover, we will say so on the button and again right under it, every time. It will never be written up as if a stranger made it. As of today that has not happened and no such part is on this site.

A link does not mean a recommendation

Before we put a part forward as the one to buy, all four of these have to be true:

• We confirmed compatibility against the manufacturer’s own documentation.
• It really does replace the part you are looking for.
• You can actually buy it right now.
• What we say about the material and the specs is backed up.

If even one of those is missing, the part still shows up as information, but it does not get recommended. That rule is written into the code that builds these pages, so it cannot be skipped on a busy day. The same four checks apply to every part, no matter who sells it.

What we will not do

• We will not say a part is compatible when we have not checked.
• We will not hide a business tie to a seller.
• We will not say we have tried a part when we have not.
