How we make money

We want you to know exactly how this site pays for itself.

We earn a referral fee

The parts we write about are made and sold by other companies. When you click through to Amazon or another store and buy something, that store pays us a small fee. You pay the same price either way. It costs you nothing extra.

Anvil Road LLC takes part in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. That is an ad program that lets sites earn fees by linking to Amazon.

We do not sell parts

We are not a parts store and we are not a manufacturer. We do not hold stock, we do not ship anything, and we do not handle returns. What we do is work out which part fits, and then point you at the people who sell it.

That matters for how you should read this site. We have no stock to clear, so we have no reason to steer you toward one part over another. The only thing we are trying to get right is the fit.

If that ever changes

If a seller we are tied to ever lists a part we cover, we will say so on the button and again right under it, every time. It will never be written up as if a stranger made it. As of today that has not happened and no such part is on this site.

A link does not mean a recommendation

Before we put a part forward as the one to buy, all four of these have to be true:

• We checked that it fits, against the maker’s own numbers.
• It really does replace the part you are looking for.
• You can actually buy it right now.
• What we say about the material and the specs is backed up.

If even one of those is missing, the part still shows up as information, but it does not get recommended. That rule is written into the code that builds these pages, so it cannot be skipped on a busy day. The same four checks apply to every part, no matter who sells it.

What we will not do

• We will not say a part fits when we have not checked.
• We will not hide a business tie to a seller.
• We will not say we have tried a part when we have not.
